Cassandra Neitling
Founder & CEO
Cassandra is a professor with a master’s degree in biology from Harvard University. She has committed her life to supporting children worldwide and believes education should be at the forefront of global progress. Passionate about international cooperation and public service, Cassandra is committed to using science and education as tools to uplift communities and create meaningful change around the world.

Julian DeLeonardis
Founder & Healthcare Program Director
Julian is an educator and aspiring nurse. His passion for healthcare justice has been shaped through his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and through his experiences working with diverse populations across his local community of Sacramento, California. Through his work he hopes to center the needs and voices of communities with disadvantaged access to healthcare and to dedicate himself in service to them.

Carolyn Hurd
Education Coordinator for Anatomy & Physiology
Carolyn is an aspiring physician with a strong passion for supporting underprivileged students. Her passion for service grew from volunteering and working in her community, seeing how access to resources can change a student’s path. She has a strong interest in medical school, where she hopes to address health disparities and advocate for underserved populations. Carolyn is driven by curiosity, empathy, and a desire to make meaningful change. Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys playing sports, exploring new interests, and building connections with friends.

Kai McClain
Director of Healthcare Curriculum Planning
Kai McClain is a university biology student pursuing a career in surgery. He has volunteered internationally in Peru, Mexico, and Africa, contributing to healthcare outreach efforts for children in rural communities. Guided by values of hard work, service, and community building, Kai strives to combine medicine and global engagement to create lasting impact. He also enjoys brings sports to rural communities! Basketball is not only fun, it cultivates leadership, discipline, and community building.

Kingsley Nyandika
Executive Director UCESCO Africa
Kingsley is the founder and Executive Director of UCESCO International, a Non-Governmental
Organization, committed to incrementally and sustainably address poverty amongst vulnerable households located in slums and rural villages. Kingsley works to empower women, and to serve the poor and vulnerable; creating sustainable transformation in communities of Africa.

Penelope Neitling
Community Outreach & Student Coordinator
Penelope is a hard-working high school student with a passion for helping young people. Since her first trip to Africa, she has been determined to improve the lives of children living in impoverished communities. Building desks, donating school supplies, teaching children to read and write. She prioritizes recruitment for CAS international, trying to get as many students into the program as possible, giving them opportunities for meaningful employment within their communities.
